Occasionally, i will use a Contax 645 with a Phase One digital back.

For portrait work, i will use medium format digital and a Pentax 67II loaded with Kodak Portra films. At times i will also capture portraits with a Contax 645 on Fuji or Kodak color negative films.

All Black & White and color films are processed by myself using a Jobo rotary processor. Sheet film and 120 format films are scanned on a Howtek 4500 drum scanner and are completed using a digital workflow in my Calgary studio.

My color photographic prints are printed with archival pigment inks.  Black and white prints are produced at times using traditional silver techniques or pigment ink.

All photographic prints are produced in my Calgary studio and all mounting uses archival materials.

HOW I MAKE MY PHOTOGRAPHS

All my photographic prints are created using a blend of traditional and modern techniques. My primary camera is a Linhof Master Technica 2000 4x5 field camera.

Landscapes are captured on 4x5 inch sheets of Fuji Astia chrome film, Kodak TMax 100 Black & White film and Kodak TRI-X Black & White film. I have also used 6x12 roll film backs loaded with Fuji Astia, Fuji Velvia chrome films or Fuji Acros 100 and Kodak TMax Black & White films.
